TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS:

This is a lateral transfer opportunity. In order to be eligible, you must be permanent and past probation in the title of Caseworker. Vacancies occur regularly in the title of Caseworker in the Tompkins County Social Services and Mental Health departments. Hiring managers will be viewing lateral transfer candidates on an on-going basis. Preference in appointment may be given to candidates who are eligible for lateral transfer.

Along with completing the Tompkins County electronic employment application, you must also provide a copy of: 1) your civil service roster record (shows dates of employment and civil service status), 2) the current job description, and 3) the exam announcement from the test which you received your permanent appointment. Tompkins County Mental Health has an opening for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and is looking to fill this position with a qualified applicant as soon as possible. The successful candidate will work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team which includes psychiatrists, therapists, community mental health nurses and rehabilitation specialists to provide excellent, comprehensive behavioral health treatment to a diverse range of individuals. Tompkins County Department of Social Services is seeking a Substance Abuse Evaluator who will have the opportunity to provide substance use disorder evaluations for persons remanded to jail and facilities inpatient treatment referrals.  The position also conducts substance use disorder client back-to-work assessments for the Department. This is a dynamic position that interfaces with several units within the department as well as community partners including probation and the courts. We are looking for a candidate who is able to work independently and has experience in conducting SUD assessments and evaluations.  NYS CASAC license is required. Town of Ithaca Public Works Department, 114 Seven Mile Drive, Ithaca, is recruiting for 4-6 seasonal full-time position(s), which perform routine physical work in areas such as highways, water & sewer, parks & trails and facility maintenance. Appointments are between April -November for a 25 week maximum duration. 

This is a part-time, temporary position at the swimming area in Myers Park, Lansing.

This is a temporary position assisting with the Town of Lansing Day Camp programs. 

This position is full time for the six weeks of camp from 7/8/24 - 8/16/24.  Weekly hours may vary.  Mandatory training will be held on 6/1/24.

The Lifeguard will work for the Town of Ulysses summer camp program. Scheduled hours are between 12:00 and 4:00pm - exact schedules will vary. Camp operates from July 1 through August 9th. There will be one mandatory training session that will be scheduled in late May/early June: Camp Orientation.  Must have lifeguard and/or waterfront certification.
