Position Summary:We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager, Clinical Laboratory - PCC Suffolk Laboratory - Full Time - PCC-Suffolk-Laboratory - - Mond. In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for managing quality and quantity of work, procedures, personnel, and costs for the clinical laboratory. Formulate goals, assign objectives, establish standards of practice, and ensure continuity of services. Supervises and ensures the proper performance of all techniques and procedures associated with clinical laboratory testing.Reponsible for equipment validations, laboratory SOPs, QA, and working closely with medical and admin directors preparing for DOH lab surveys.Manages staff and ensure timely and quality results for infusion support. Responsible for all day to day functions of the lab.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Science or a related field. NYS License as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist. Minimum of Four years in a clinical laboratory with supervisory/management responsibilities and knowledge in all areas of the clinical laboratory.. Required Licenses: Clinical Lab Technologist-NYS
Preferred Qualifications:ASCP certification. 1-2 years of supervisory experience. Knowledge of NYS and CAP regulatory requirements in regard to clinical laboratory testing. Familiarity with instrument interfaces and functionality of laboratory Information Systems.
