<p><strong>JOB TITLE: </strong>APRN</p>

<p><strong>PROGRAM/LOCATION: DCO Osborn</strong> </p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>ABOUT THE PROGRAMS:</strong></span><strong> </strong><strong></strong><strong>DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS</strong></p>
<p>To be a member of the core team responsible for the provision of Medication Assisted Treatment to the <br />inmate population within Department of Correction facilities.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>Perform Physical Examination and Substance Use Disorder evaluation to determine eligibility for MOUD to be provided at the OTP level of care in the correctional setting.</li>
<li>Provide evaluation and management with existing clients for dose changes and symptom monitoring.</li>
<li>Provide Inductions of Methadone and Buprenorphine; provide Naltrexone/Vivitrol.</li>
<li>Choose medication based on clinical indication and client choice.</li>
<li>Review laboratory results and make referrals to Correctional Medical Services for medical problems that arise, including screening for HIV/HEP.</li>
<li>Function as full member of the multidisciplinary treatment team including counselor, therapist, Recovery Coach, RN Coordinator, LPN, Medical Assistant. </li>
<li>Coordinate care with Correctional Medical and Addiction Services Staff and Correctional safety and Security Staff.</li>
<li>Assist with maintaining treatment services that are in compliance with National Commission on Correctional Health Care standards and regulation.</li>
<li>Participate in performance improvement plans, education of providers and correctional staff.</li>
<li>Coordinate care with referral sources and discharge agencies as needed.</li>
<li>Participate in supervision with Associate Medical Director or Medical Director.</li>
<li>Maintain timely and comprehensive documentation.</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></span></p>
<p><strong>Education:</strong> APRN</p>
<p><strong>Experience</strong><strong>:</strong> Experience with addictions, Medication for OUD.</p>
<p><strong>Licensure/Certification/Registration: </strong> CT APRN License, Buprenorphine Waiver</p>
